Book Review: F Stands for Success by Rakhi Kapoor
F Stands for Success
Author: Rakhi Kapoor
Publisher: Notion Press
Rating: 3.5/5
Using an allegorical approach and the science of deduction to eliminate all the negative possibilities, ‘F Stands for Success’ is a self-help book that helps you change your outlook towards life. Knowing that the letter ‘F’ is often accompanied by distaste and despair, it would take the readers some time to think about what the author tries to ‘preach’. But trust me, the author uses clever anecdotes to make her point of view relatable and palatable.
F Stands for Success aims at convincing the readers that failures are like the stepping stones for success. When you fail, you gain experience and you become wiser. It is said that if you are born poor, it is not your fault. But if you die poor, it surely is. Similarly, if you do not learn from the mistakes and continue treading on the same path- hopelessly and without a plan in mind, the path is not going to take you anywhere. Instead, you should learn to ‘flaunt your failures and wear the scars as your medal of honour’. The author uses examples from her life and derives learning from all of them. This way, she encourages the readers to look for that beacon of hope that will push them towards happiness.
Overall, this book has nothing new to offer other than the interpretation of failure in such a way that it prompts the readers to become more acceptable and prepared. The writing is crisp and error-free. The narrative is binding.
Best wishes to the author!
