The story revolves around Kaatyaani, who has been married to Hemant for six years. She is childless, indecisive and discontented. The lack of empathy and affection from her husband forces her to tread on a path filled with uncertainty, deceit and adultery. She meets Siddharth and falls for his suave and charming personality. Amidst a few intimate scenes and humdrum narrative, the story loses its essence. The readers might be left baffled wondering about the trite progression of the story. In short, the story is very much predictable and familiar. The climax, too, fails to impress.
Yet again, HBB disappoints with the font size and editing. Even the blurb has grammatical errors (‘for’ as a conjunction has been used incorrectly). The narration lacks strength. The desperate attempt to include intimate scenes seems futile because the characters are not relatable.
Overall, the redundant and weak storyline didn’t live up to my expectations.
