I’m already a fan of Kavita Devgan’s pragmatic approach to healthy lifestyle and dieting. Hence, The Immunity Diet was anyway going to be a delightful read. This book has everything- right from the correct meaning of immunity to understanding what boosts or diminishes immunity. Starting from the very basic knowledge about immunity and the cells that help maintain a perfect balance in the body, the author makes sure that the readers are aware of what they are going to read and maybe, follow.
Since I come from a science background, I know the importance and relevance of understanding how the body functions. Therefore, this section of the book was particularly helpful in revisiting some basic facts. Following that, the author enlightens about the boosters and the downers. She also takes into account the COVID-19 scenario and presents a detailed before and after meal plan for the ones who are or might face the wrath of this virus. Organized and easily comprehensible, The Immunity Diet focuses on eating right and living right in order to keep the immunity intact. This, in turn, would help in keeping the infections at bay. Isn’t this what we all want to do but are unsure how to go about it?
Well, this book came in handy for me. Thus, I would definitely recommend this.
