The Path Ahead- Transformative Ideas for India
Editor: Amitabh Kant
Publisher: Rupa Publishers
Rating: 4/5
‘The Path Ahead’ is a compilation of such ideas that can help, if not assure, to eradicate the weak links of our country like illiteracy, corruption, a plethora of people and lack of resources. The editor aims to make the readers cerebrate over the pathos and advises us to take an action and make a change. Even something as simple as educating a child can make a big change in the growth and development of the country.
Written by several authors like Dhiraj Rajaram, Nachiket Mor, Ashish Dhawan, Nivruti Rai, Adi Godrej, Tushaar Shah and many more, this book touches upon different sectors of development- human capital, brand building, uplifting rural India, finance and income. The authors explain the demographics and then list the benefits and the drivers of the technique. The idea of utilizing the funds to transform the healthcare and education industry is the need of the hour. And that is the pivotal point of all the chapters.
Well-written and well-structured, this book is for the entrepreneurs who are out there making a name for themselves. Even though the idea of entrepreneurship or business is a far cry for me, it is understandable how our country can develop. Instead of indulging in falsification and being an armchair critic, it is high time for the citizens to take a stand and make the necessary changes.
Overall, a good book that needs to read to understand the basics of employment, education and healthcare industries in our country.
Best wishes to all the contributors and editor!
