Book Review: Love Yourself by Rakhi Kapoor
Love Yourself

Rating: 3/5
You can’t pour from an empty cup. In the words of Emily Dickenson, each one of us has a little brook in our hearts and we need to nourish that brook with love and care to ensure that it nourishes the rest of our being. Love Yourself is a self-help book that details the steps that should be adopted to take care of oneself. It advocates the importance of self-love, self-worth and self-respect.
Well-organized and quite practical, Love Yourself teaches the readers to be confident in their own skin and cater to their emotional and spiritual well being before lending a hand to others. The author has deftly divided the book into various sections focusing on different aspects of holistic development of one’s mind, body and soul. Right from eating right to feeling right, Love Yourself includes all the areas that need to be worked on if one plans to achieve mindfulness and begin afresh. The only problem with the book is that the content is redundant. There are so many self-help books in the market that proclaim the same. Hence, there is nothing exciting nor refreshing.
Overall, Love Yourself is a quick read that is sure to fire up your spirit to work towards loving yourself. But if you have already read a book previously on the same concept, brace yourself for a journey that might take you in circles.
Best wishes to the author!
