Book Review: Nothing to Regret by Tanya Dias
Nothing to Regret
Author: Tanya Dias

Rating: 2.5/5
Our personality is made up of what and whom we encounter in our lifetime. In order to ensure that our soul finds peace in what we do, it is important for us to follow our avocation than a vocation. Hence, the role of a driving force is vital.
‘Nothing to Regret’ talks about that driving force which makes the protagonist realize her dreams and desires. When Ananya is on the verge of calling it quits, her Ajji (grandmother) expresses her last wish (before she- Ajji- passes away)- a wish so uncanny that it leaves Ananya at sixes and sevens! Her Ajji asks her to travel solo to distant countries and unravel the family secret about love. Knowing fairly well that it is Ajji’s last wish, Ananya decides to oblige. Struggling initially, she does find comfort in what she does. Travelling liberates her and also enables her to love herself!
Written using very simple language, the story is relatable yet the readers might find it difficult to connect well with the characters. The font is something that acted as a turn off for me. It is too small! I could also spot punctuation errors in some paragraphs.
Overall, the is an average read.
Best wishes to the author!
