Book Review: Think Eat Live Smart by Dr Anjali Hooda Sangwan

Think Eat Live Smart
Author: Dr Anjali Hooda Sangwan
Publisher: Rupa Publishers
Rating: 3/5

It has been correctly said that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The sedentary lifestyle has led to the deterioration of eating habits and consequently, diseases are gradually conquering our body. There are many books in the market that describe the importance of eating healthy and staying fit. And all of them advocate for the same rules. However, some are easy to comprehend and follow, while some reek of fame that comes along with the published book. ‘Think Eat Live Smart’ by Dr Anjali has chapters describing different components of a healthy diet- implemented with weekly diet plans and illustrated with significant case studies.

These case studies help in understanding the context of the diet plan because most of us suffer from similar problems. Intelligently written and aptly organized, this book provides practical advice on how to incorporate each vital nutrient into our diet. In this book, the author investigates a proactive and healthful food plan and wounds up juggling confusing, conflicted quackery with copious diet plans. The easy and quick recipes at the end of the book act as a cherry on the cake. Using lucid language and fitting pointers, this book has a mass appeal as it can be understood by the majority.

Overall, Think Eat Live Smart is an earnest attempt to demystify the concept of ‘nutrition disaster’. I won’t say it is a must buy, for there are plenty other of the same type. Yet, one can opt for this because of the legitimacy and simplicity.

Best wishes to the author.
