Communication is the key to success. Haven’t we heard this umpteen number of times? Well, if you’re up for an authoritative position, communication is going to be your wheel as you drive on that gravel-strewn path. Communication sheds light on your personality, your attitude and sometimes, your aptitude too. Vocabulary of a Leader is a self-help book that promises to introduce you to a storehouse of words and phrases that can come in handy when you find yourself in a sticky situation.
While leadership might sound like a powerful position, it comes with a truckload of responsibilities. Responsible behaviour, responsible etiquettes, responsible problem-solving and responsible thinking are all parts of this herculean role. Hence, it is imperative to have a training of the sorts to know what to speak when. This book does just that. It comprises situations and tasks that involve critical thinking (before the words pour out of the mouth without a second thought). Right from a conversation starter, delegation of work, reprimanding employees or accepting mistakes- each situation needs a meticulous solution. Hence, Vocabulary of a Leader, to some extent, gives you those solutions in the form of right words.
All in all, this is a good book to shelve.
