Rakhi Kapoor’s Deliver with Delight is a self-help book that uses her personal experiences as a base to establish the fact that nothing is impossible. In today’s fast-paced life, women often contemplate the decision of becoming mothers and then saying goodbye to their career. Well, that’s the very first myth that Rakhi breaks. Using her dynamic personality and powerful narration, she convinces the readers that pregnancy should be enjoyed and not endured.

In this book, she mentions the importance of proper planning, seeking support from the loved ones and keeping all the fears at bay because these three habits have the calibre to make the entire process of pregnancy enjoyable. The book has been divided into 10 parts in which the author covers various aspects of well-being and all forms of support from the family. Right from encouraging the women to stay sanguine and indulge in activities that make them feel good about themselves to coping mechanisms to be followed postpartum, the lucid narrative covers all points in detail. This book doesn’t come with pointers or to-do lists. Instead, this book comprises the treasure in the form of the author’s experience that can definitely help the new mothers or the women who are in the family way.

I liked the personal touch of the author as it made reading relatable. Another positive point about the book is its language. The book has an overview of the solutions but the convincing language wins the heart. The details have not been touched. For instance, the author mentions about the financial planning and mental planning, but the comprehensive coverage of these is amiss. I am not saying that this book should have had that section. The point that I am trying to make here is just that there are other books out there that cover all these aspects in detail. Hence, the USP of this book is only the convincing language and the anecdotes. Nevertheless, it is quite handy and helpful.
